01 — CapyCrew / Legal
Privacy,
plainly.
This policy explains what CapyCrew collects, why, how long it is kept, and the choices available to you.
02 — In brief
The short
version.
What this policy covers, and the one technical limit that no policy can write away.
We do not require an account, we do not ask for your seed phrase or private key, and we do not sell personal information.
As published, this site has no wallet connection at all: it reads no chain, holds no contract address, and asks you to sign nothing.2 The wallet sections below describe what would be processed once member accounts open, and they take effect only then. Nothing in them is collected today.
Scope: who this policy covers
This policy applies to the CapyCrew website and related web interfaces controlled by CapyCrew. It does not apply to third-party wallets, block explorers, marketplaces, social networks, hosting providers, analytics services operated by others, or independent websites reached through links.
If you interact with those services, their own privacy policies control their processing. Always review them before connecting a wallet or sharing information.
Important. Blockchain transactions and wallet addresses are generally public and cannot be erased from an immutable chain. Privacy rights over onchain records are limited by that technical reality.
03 — Collection
Data we
may process.
The categories, why each one is processed, and the things this site does not collect at all.
| Category | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Wallet data | Show eligibility, supply status, and transaction context. | Public address, connected network, token balance or mint count returned by RPC reads. |
| Transaction data | Display receipts and explorer links after you initiate activity. | Public transaction hashes, contract interactions, gas and status details. |
| Technical data | Operate, secure, diagnose, and prevent abuse of the site. | IP address, user agent, device type, referring page, timestamps, and basic request logs processed by hosting/security infrastructure. |
| Communications | Respond to support, privacy, security, or business requests. | Name or alias, email address, and message contents if you contact us voluntarily. |
| Local interface state | Maintain interface state during your browsing session. | A temporary marker stored in your browser session storage. |
The wallet and transaction rows describe future functionality only; the current site does not request a connection, signature, or transaction. Retention is dealt with separately, under data retention.
We do not knowingly collect government identification numbers, payment card numbers through this website, biometric identifiers, precise geolocation, or sensitive categories of personal data. We do not collect private keys or seed phrases.
Wallet data and signatures
Connecting a wallet makes its public address available to the site. Where signature verification is
used, we request a human-readable personal_sign message identifying CapyCrew and the
purpose. Signing proves control of the wallet at that moment; it does not authorize a transfer or
grant access to your funds.
Cookies and local storage
The current website does not use advertising cookies. It uses browser session storage for a short-lived interface marker and may use strictly necessary storage or cookies for security, load balancing, and basic functionality. Hosting providers may set technical cookies necessary to deliver the service.
Your browser allows you to block, delete, or clear site data. Doing so may reset preferences or require reconnecting a wallet. We will provide notice and obtain any consent required before adding non-essential tracking technologies.
Wallet safety. Never approve a message or transaction you do not understand. A seed phrase should never be entered into the CapyCrew website. If you believe you interacted with a spoofed domain, disconnect immediately and seek support through official channels.
04 — Purpose
Limited purposes,
stated bases.
What the information is used for, and the legal bases that permit the processing.
Limited, service-focused purposes
We use information to provide the website; secure and debug systems; comply with law; and respond to you. Once member accounts open, that extends to verifying that you control a connected wallet when signature verification is requested, reading public contract state, and displaying transaction links. We do not use personal information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Why processing is permitted
Where the GDPR applies, processing may rely on:
- Performance of a service you request.
- Legitimate interests in operating and securing our site, balanced against your rights.
- Consent, where required for optional cookies or communications.
- Legal obligation, where retention or disclosure is mandatory.
You may withdraw consent where consent is the basis, but withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.
No sale, no cross-context advertising. We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
05 — Handling
Where it goes,
how long it stays.
What happens to information after it is collected: who it reaches, where it is processed, how long it is kept, and how it is protected.
Only what operations require
We may share limited information with service providers that host the site, transmit RPC requests, provide analytics, email, security, audit, or professional services under contractual confidentiality and purpose limitations. Public blockchain data is inherently visible to anyone. We may also disclose information to respond to legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.
International transfers
Information may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy findings, standard contractual clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms, together with additional technical controls where needed.
Data retention
Session-storage markers normally disappear when your browser session ends. Technical logs are retained only for a reasonable operational and security period, typically no longer than 12 months unless required longer. Support communications are retained while handling your matter and then according to legal, accounting, and limitation requirements. Onchain records cannot be deleted because they exist on public networks outside our control.
Security safeguards and limits
We use administrative and technical measures appropriate to risk, including transport encryption, least privilege, dependency maintenance, monitoring, and incident response practices. No online service is perfectly secure. Do not send private keys, seed phrases, or unnecessary personal information to us.
06 — Rights
Choices and
controls.
The rights that may apply to you, how to exercise them, and what limits our ability to act on a request.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, port data, withdraw consent, opt out of targeted advertising or sale/sharing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents may additionally request disclosure about collection and may not be discriminated against for exercising rights.
To make a request, contact privacy@capycrew.xyz. We verify requests before responding and may permit an authorized agent only with proof of authorization. We aim to respond within the time required by applicable law. Because we generally do not maintain a persistent account profile tied to identity, our ability to locate data may be limited.
Not directed to minors
CapyCrew is not directed to children under 16, and digital-asset features are not intended for users below the legal age in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it where technically possible.
07 — Changes and contact
Dated updates.
One inbox.
How a new version is published, and where to send a question, a complaint, or a privacy request.
We may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the website or another appropriate channel.
